This Privacy Policy describes how Sleep Shield ("we", "our", or "the App") handles your data. We believe in privacy by design. Sleep Shield operates entirely locally on your device and does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the following data:

• Anonymous Usage Data: Events related to how you interact with the app (such as onboarding steps, feature usage, and app performance). This data is anonymous and cannot be used to identify you personally.
• Anonymous User Identifier: A randomly generated ID created at first launch to associate analytics events across sessions. This is not linked to your name, email, or any personal information.

We do not collect: your name, email, phone number, location, contacts, or any personally identifiable information.

3. Analytics

Sleep Shield uses PostHog (posthog.com) for product analytics. Data collected through PostHog is used solely to understand how users interact with the app and to improve its features. 4. Use of Screen Time API (Family Controls)

Sleep Shield uses Apple's native Screen Time API (Family Controls) to provide its core app blocking functionality.

• Strict Usage: access to this API is used strictly to restrict access to the apps you voluntarily select during your defined sleep hours.
• Privacy First: We do not have access to your app content, messages, browsing history, or any other personal data. The API operates in a privacy-preserving manner designed by Apple.
• Opaque Selection: The selection of apps to block is handled through Apple's secure FamilyActivityPicker. Sleep Shield receives an opaque token representing your selection but does not know the names or bundle IDs of the specific apps you have chosen to block.

5. Data Security

Analytics data is transmitted securely to PostHog's servers. Your sleep schedules, blocking preferences, and app-specific data remain stored locally on your iPhone and never leave your device.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Since we do not collect your email, we advise you to review this page periodically for any changes.
